Universidad de La Sabana
Bilingual Industrial Engineer originally from Venezuela.
After graduating as a science major, I had the valuable opportunity to spend a year on exchange in a small town in Minnesota, USA, called Edgerton, with a population of just 1,000. This period presented a significant challenge, as there were only three of us in town who spoke Spanish. This experience pushed me out of my comfort zone, allowing me to gain enriching experiences and knowledge that have shaped me to this day.
Upon returning to Venezuela, a country going through a tragic situation, I decided it was necessary to seek a future abroad. So, at the age of 18, I embarked on a new path and moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina.
This new chapter in my life allowed me to begin studying the career that I am passionate about and identify with. In 2017, I started my journey as an Industrial Engineer at the University of Buenos Aires. Simultaneously, I began working at a small hotel in the Palermo district. My work schedule was designed to enable me to achieve my educational goals: attending morning classes and working the evening-night shift. Over the years, I continued my studies and worked at larger hotels in the city.
In mid-2019, the opportunity arose to reunite with my family (Father, Mother, and Sister) in Bogotá, Colombia. It was a difficult decision, but one I didn't hesitate to make.
Resuming my studies in 2020 as an Industrial Engineering student at the University of La Sabana in Chía, this chapter allowed me to meet excellent colleagues and friends, become part of the University's high-level field tennis team, and complete my professional internships in the field of Applied Intelligence at Accenture Colombia. These internships were instrumental in my professional development as they not only involved data transformation and visualization, enabling data-driven decision-making but also introduced me to exceptional individuals who have played a significant role in shaping who I am today. All of this adds to my academic journey and my proficiency in Python, Power BI, and other tools I have acquired over the course of my career.
